Position Description

This role includes formulating new products, ensuring label compliance, technical document creation and maintenance and external audit preparation. There will also be an element of research and associated documentation. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret legislation and to ensure company-wide compliance. You will also require excellent communication and prioritisation skills. This is a challenging position, where the ability to work autonomously is essential.

Primary Roles:

  • Manage new product development and release
  • Design and conduct fertiliser trials including laboratory, greenhouse and field trials 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of product composition, manufacturing, packaging and labelling 
  • Submit and maintain organic registrations, including audit preparation
  • Prepare technical documentation for export and regulatory requirements
  • Answer technical product enquiries from customers and distributors

Experience and Personal Qualities:

  • Degree in Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or related
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices desirable
  • Sound chemistry knowledge is essential
  • Experience with interpreting technical documents including legislation
  • Laboratory and plant trial experience
  • Prior experience in the fertiliser industry, and knowledge of ACO standards, will be viewed favourably
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sound mathematical ability
  • Self-motivated
  • Competent with the Microsoft suite, with advanced Excel skills
  • Problem solving attitude
