About the Role
The Plant Microbial Bio Discovery and Treatment Evaluation Manager will be responsible for coordinating and delivering on the Soil Carbon Co. US field and greenhouse activities spanning plant and soil specimen collections through greenhouse and field trialing efforts. The role will also serve as a key liaison and supporter of efforts in targeted microbe candidate discovery, greenhouse performance trials and field trial performance evaluation.
Building, maintenance and management of data and documentation spanning protocols, agreement, data, metadata, observations and environment characterization are additional key components of the role. Initially the role will be focused on oversight and coordination of efforts with collaborators and contract research organizations to deliver on these objectives, while longer term efforts are likely to including the development and oversight of internal operations in this area.
The Plant Microbial Bio Discovery and Treatment Evaluation Manager will work closely with internal and external field and lab based research teams in the collection and maintenance of relevant data, documentation and inventory information. Key interfaces include close collaboration and alignment with the US based Microbe Isolation and Screening Manager and the SCC R&D teams in Australia. The position will initially be a remote role with possible relocation to a TBD Midwestern location within the next 12 months.
